Your Vote is Your Voice: Use It!

But use it rightly!

The Seattle City Council just voted to defund the city police department by 50%.  The people of Seattle have spoken.  Every one of the council members were voted for by the people of Seattle.  You knew these people and you voted for them to do exactly what they are doing.

Mike Solan, the Seattle Police Officers Guild President, claims that this vote contradicts the will of the “reasonable or ignored majority”.  I disagree with Solan.  The people’s voice is their vote.  These council members are the people they wanted; make no mistake about it.  These policies are what the people voted for.

If you don’t like it, vote to change it.  You’re getting what you voted for. You’re getting what you deserve.  Yes, you can leave or you can stay and change things by your vote.  Only the people of Seattle can fix this mess, if only they want to.

You created it.  Now fix it.  Or, as my parents would say, “You made this bed, now sleep in it!”

As for me, I don’t live in Seattle and I will do everything I can to avoid ever going there as long as the people continue to vote for defunding the police, for homelessness, filth, violence, and anarchy.

The Seattle nightmare is only just beginning.  Some people have died and more will die as a result of the policies handed down from the Governor, the Mayor, and the city council; for those people it is and will be too late.

How you vote in the fall will be watched by the nation.  Do the right thing. Vote for law and order.  Vote to clean up Seattle.  Vote to fix what you screwed up!

If you do not, no one will pity the hell you bring upon yourself.
