High tech construction
It took less time to dig the seven mile railroad tunnel
through Stevens Pass than it’s taking to redo about a quarter
mile of Eighth Street in Sultan.
When the tunnel was dug, diggers started from both
ends and met half way. When they finally met over three
miles underground, they found there was only a couple of
feet difference in their angles.
C onstruction workers in Sultan couldn’t lay one pipe
correctly in broad daylight.
ANOT HER FLOOD
October 15th and 16th, the hundred year flood plain
in south Sultan flooded again. If you live in that area then
you know the last flood was 100 years ago and you can rest
assured that the government knows what it’s saying when it
says that the next flood won’t be for another 100 years.
